It is an honor to be nominated for the Unique Blogger Award by Nisha from InspiresN. Thank you so much Nisha for your recognition and support of A Mindful Traveller. Nisha too is a busy mum, who shares her recipes, photos and experiences on her wonderful blog InspiresN. Check it out here and give her a follow if you have not already done so!
The Rules:
- Share the link with the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
- Answer the questions.
- In the spirit of sharing love with our blogging family, nominate 15 people and notify them.
- Ask them three questions.
Nisha’s Questions:
- Q1. How do you get the motivation for new posts in your blog?
I love sharing my travel stories, so my motivation comes from the wonderful places I have been blessed to have visited across the years. I like to tie in homemade recipes as well, which relate to the travel posts I write.
- Q2. What is your favorite travel destination ?
My favourite travel destination would have to be Europe, especially Italy. There are so many beautiful countries rich in history so close to one another in this area of the world.
- Q3. What was the most proudest moment of your life ?
My proudest moment would be having my two children. Such an accomplishment and an achievement.
My Nominations:
I would like to open this award to all my fellow bloggers out there. You are all unique in your own way and if you do not wish to write a whole post about this award maybe you can answer one or all of these following questions in the comments section below. 🙂
My Questions:
- Who inspire you the most?
- Do you collect anything in particular?
- Do you cook and if so what is your favourite dish to cook?
Thank you everyone for all your support. For reading my posts, commenting and sharing. Encouraging each other is what it’s all about. 🙂

by far having two children is one of the proudest things, I’m terrified about the day I finally have children ! Think I might do this award too!xx

Being terrified is normal! It’s stepping into the unknown really, but it’s the best thing ever!!
That would be awesome Sophie. Love to hear your responses. Have a great week Xx

Many congratulations … very well deserved. I love your blog. I won’t do a full post but my answers are thus:
1. My inspirations … my late father, my daughters and my husband spring straight to mind so that is probably my answer
2. I collect recipe books. My third daughter forcibly made me give 9 wine cases full to a charity shop a few years ago. I have collected back quite a few of them and added many others since ….
3. I cook to relax so that is every day. My favourite thing to cook … help! I love making bread and do it seldom living in France for obvious reasons 🇫🇷

Thank you Osyth. That means s lot coming from a blogger I admire so much. 💕
It’s lovely to get to know more about the wonderful people who support my blog.
I have a weakness for cookbooks too!! Are you children older??

My children are all grown up – four girls … eldest is 30 and married, second is 27 and has lived in KL for more than four years but I think may come back to Europe at least for a while, next year, number three is nearly 25 and took a late decision to do an Illustration Degree so is in her foundation year now and the baby is 22 and graduated in Fine Arts in the summer. It was number three then aged 16 who got stern with me about my books when we downsized our house. In fairness, at the time, she was probably right!!

Oh wow. Four girls. How beautiful. You must be very proud of each one of them. You look so young Osyth, to have such grown up children !!! 😉

Lucky genes and they keep me young. I brought them up on my own so in some senses we are like sisters – they certainly don’t shirk from slapping me down if I’m misbehaving!! I met my husband 5 years ago and have a stepson who is 31 with him. Quite apart from being the love of my life, I admire him immensely for not running for the hills when he discovered I had four girls 😀 x

What a story. That must have been really hard raising the four girls on your own. Well you have done an amazing job and it’s wonderful to hear you have found the love of your life. Haha…. I would have been questioning as well if he would run or not!!! That’s true love my friend. X

As my eldest said ‘you kissed a lot of frogs mum but in the end you got the Princiest of Princes’ …. it wasn’t easy raising the girls on my own, of course not, but I tend to see the silver linings rather than the obstacles and there were plenty. All in all, I’ve been very fortunate X

We were near Trapani 🙂 Just a long weekend getaway so we didn’t see a whole lot – just the most beautiful sights in Trapani area 🙂

How lovely. I haven’t been to Trapani. You are very lucky you can just go for a long weekend. 😉

Thank you 🙂 I am indeed! Only possible in Europe 😀 We were chasing the sun, as it’s gotten cold and chilly in Poland since more than a month already.
