Oh that’s lovely! My present to my partner for his birthday earlier this year was to be a trip to Rome…not sure when we will get there now (thankfully I hadn’t booked anything!!). This photo reminds me of what we have to look forward to though, thank you! Hope you are all keeping well x

It’s sad to think we will not be travelling for a while yet. All we have are the memories and beautiful photos to remind us. But the hope is still there and at least it gives us something to look forward to as you said.

yes we have indeed been to the villa borghese. many years ago tho. we were using info from a frommer’s guide it may have been. we ended up at the very backblocks via a train ride, and had to walk for miles (it seemed) up to the grounds, then thru a massive park and around to the front of the villa which was actually mostly closed due to repairs or some such. oh the good old days!
