Friendly Friday photo challenge hosted at The Snow Melts Somewhere and Something to Ponder About, delivers the theme “Remote “ this week.
Personally, I prefer a remote destination over an overpopulated one.
Slow travel is becoming evermore common and heading in the opposite direction, getting lost or wandering off that beaten track, can be so rewarding. Think of the adventures that await you , the people you will meet and the memories you will make.
Maybe next time, step out of your comfort zone and explore a more remote destination?

The remote rolling hills of Monclar de Quercy, in France’s gorgeous countryside
Remote roads in Australia’s countryside
Remote coves in Maui
Remote beaches along the coast of Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand
these are a fab collection of photos!

A great way to introduce some alternative destinations to your readers, Lorelle. I checked out Hawke’s Bay – a place I have visited before. As always, your photos are stunning to look out! Thanks for joining in the Friendly Friday challenge this week.

Thanks Amanda. I think as I get older, exploring the alternatives takes preference 😉

Well said, Lorelle. I definitely agree. The alternatives offer so much more of an experience than the more popular tourist destinations.

Agree with you 100%, so much better to get away from cities and the normal tourist hotspots and find those quiet special places.

A great take on the topic. Slower trave, at least slightly off the well beaten track is definitely the only way to go. The main tourist destinations are just to congested.
