Friendly Friday photo challenge hosted at The Snow Melts Somewhere and Something to Ponder About, delivers the theme “Shadows “ this week.
A tough theme, as we all try to eliminate or crop those shadows from our photos!
These three photos were taken within the French countryside.
Standing over a small footbridge in the charming town of L’Isle Sur La Sorgue, my daughter snapped away on her camera. I particularly like the way she captured her shadow through the river. Her photographic ability was quite unique at only 11 years of age and I do hope she will pursue her love for photography as she grows…

I love your daughter’s shot. It has a kind of dreamy feel about it.

An excellent shot of your daughter’s. It reminds me of an impressionist painting. Well done!!
I didn’t think of it as a tough prompt. But I did try to think of something a little different.

It is a great picture from your daughter Lorelle, and I agree too – it does look like an impressionists’s piece of artwork. It’s a difficult theme for sure this week. As you say, we all try to eliminate the shadows. Our Puppy dog, MrTilly, regularly chases butterflies in the garden. When the butterflies take flight, their shadows dance all over the garden, so once the real thing is out of reach he turns to chasing the dancing shadows. I wish we’d tried to get photographs…. and now there’s no sun, and no butterflies!

That’s so cute Chris.
Yes, we must wait for Spring to return again before we catch glimpse of those beautiful butterflies. 😊
