Singapore Greenery…

As a visitor to Singapore, my first impressions were, “wow….how green is this city!”

From the moment we stepped off the plane and into Changi airport three weeks ago, I was blown away with the sustainability developments within this small city. Singapore is reported to have the world’s highest density of greenery. With the expansion of skyrise greenery on high rise city buildings as a result of limited land capacity, Singapore is indeed a lush and vibrant palette of nature.

The beauty of the flora and fauna in this energetic city awaits to be captured…

  1. My daughter lives in KL – seeing these luscious pictures and reading about the unrestrained green-ness of Singapore, I understand why she loves hopping over there whenever she can xx

  2. Great post and pics Lorelle, love Singapore one of my first foreign destinations when I was still a student, as you mention what impressed me most was the cleanliness and greenery as well ! Got many more chances to visit S’pore enroute Indonesia and US , brought back great memories!!

  3. From your pictures I can sense fresh air despite being in the city. It’s always fascinating when cities incorporate greenery. I’ve never been to Singapore, so to me the rainforest-like flora and fauna like you captured in your photos is quite unique.

  4. Such gorgeous photos – and a lot greener than I remember although it’s almost (eek) 20 years since I visited. I’ve been wanting to go back for a while so definitely adding your tips to my list. Thanks for linking up with #citytripping

      2. Thank you Lorelle. Yes, very busy but I’m a good way.
Oh yes, Spring time is a lovely time for a trip before the heat of summer.

  5. Firstly, this is absolutely gorgeous. How would you NOT want to spend all of your time wandering through the gardens?? Secondly, it’s so eco-friendly!! I’m trying to find more plants I can grow myself but it’s difficult to find plants that I can bring in for the winter AND find a spot in my house where they get just the right amount of sunlight. I hope I can have something like the airport eventually!!! 😍😍
